Drive into the hills behind Nice to meet local farmers and taste specialties like olive oil and tapenade, nougat, jams, honey and wine, with lunch at a farm.
After visiting scenic Peillon, we will stop in the tranquil village of L’Escarène, which is home to a traditional stone olive press operated with a water mill. Then we will drive further up to visit a farmer who makes fig and honey nougats, as well as jams with fruits from his ancient trees. After enjoying a homemade lunch at the farm, we will drive through the Peillon Valley for its spectacular mountain views.
On the way back, we will stop in the unspoiled villages of Coaraze, where we may enjoy an apéritif of local wine with friends who run an organic farm producing olive oil, tapenade and honey.
